Water is the basis of life on earth. But, our way of life threatens our own existence. Melting glaciers and polluted waters urge us to rethink how we live. ?Based on Water“ shows glacier images by Chinese artist Jin Ping and photographs of ice. Jin Ping prints cyanotypes of glaciers on glass and silk. With its typical ?Berlin blue“, this old photographic printing process highlights the beauty of the glaciers on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau which are increasingly threatened by global warming.
